| The Inn on the Blue Horizon is a Mediterranean style villa
perched on a bluff overlooking the swimming pool and the caribbean sea. |

| Located on the island of Vieques this small inn has nine
guest rooms, three in the main house plus six ocean-front Casita rooms with
porches and ocean views. |
|
|
| Air-conditioning is not necessary on the water in Vieques
due to the constant trade winds that gently move through the well ventilated
rooms. For guests that must have air-conditioning two of the rooms in the main
house are air-conditioned. |
|
|
| The rooms are decorated with objects of primitive, antique,
oriental, and modern origins that together create a warm and welcoming
feeling. |
|

| The dining area overlooks the pool and the magnificent sea.
Dinner is served Sunday through Thursday and breakfast is served seven days a
week. |
|

| What there is "not to do" is one of this resorts best
features. There are no movie theaters, shopping malls, or traffic lights. There
are a few art galleries, small stores and some local craftsman. |
|
|
| If you have business to attend while on vacation, there are
only two business phone lines. For long and frequent calls there is a
payphone. |
|
|
| Vieques is located eight miles off the Eastern coast of
Puerto Rico and can be reached by air as well as by ferry from Fajardo. The
ferry runs three times per day and the fare is $2. A taxi from San Juan will be
a 1 1/2 hour ride at a cost of $65. |

| The lobby with a soaring ceiling, white pillars and inlaid
tile floors is open to the Caribbean trade winds. |

have king-size beds. |

| There is no television and few phones, but there is a great
hard-cover library and perfect weather. |

| Vieques Island is not commercially developed. There are
plenty of wide-open spaces, country roads and rolling hills. The language
spoken most often is English and the American dollar is the standard. |
|
|
| There is great snorkeling and scuba diving and one of the
world's finest bioluminescent bays. This is a great destination if you enjoy
reading, walking, swimming, eating, sleeping, and making new friends. |
