| The Club Casa Del Mar opened in 1926 as a beach club and
hotel with 129 guest rooms. Built in a Renaissance style with plush Oriental
rugs, intricately hand-painted ceilings and heavy bronze statuary, the hotel
became the Grande Dame of Santa Monica. In October, 1999 after a $60 million
dollar restoration, this historic landmark has been returned to its elegant and
sophisticated former grandeur. |
| Most of the 129 guest rooms and suites offer panoramic
views of the sand, sea and Pacific coastline from Palos Verdes to Malibu. All
of the guest accommodations include dataports and working desks with phone and
plug. In-room fax and other business machines on request. A dedicated
direct-dial phone line with a personal number and other technological support
is also available. |
| The opulent baths have white Italian Calacata marble walls
and floors, glass enclosed showers, and whirlpool tubs. |
| Among California luxury resorts and hotels, Casa Del Mar's
extravagant two-story penthouse suites offer unmatched vistas of the coastline,
stretching from Malibu to Palos Verdes. The guestrooms themselves are as lavish
as the views. |
| There are three dining options at the hotel
California
Cuisine in the elegant Oceanfront, casual lunches on The Verandah, or al fresco
under umbrellas on The Palm Terrace, the 5th floor pool and Mediterranean
garden deck. |
| The seascape is on full display throughout - in the elegant
guest rooms, suites and penthouses; the lobby and restaurant; the magnificent
ballroom loggias; the pool and garden terrace. The vistas on land - most
notably the fabled Santa Monica Pier - are equally entrancing. |

| Though none of the original furnishings remained, the
traditional look and feel from the 20's was recreated. The hotel is adjacent to
the historic Santa Monica Pier with its 77-year-old carousel, fish market,
amusements, pubs and restaurants. |
| The luxurious accommodations feature gauzy white,
floor-to-ceiling draperies, wood Venetian window blinds, Victorian-stylized
bamboo headboard, furniture in shades of fruitwood, hand-painted armoire,
wicker chairs, and Matisse-inspired art by a local artist. |
| Freshly cut flowers, arrangements of seashells, and gauzy
curtains brushed by the sea breeze naturally stir the senses. The indulgent
marble-clad bathrooms rival the restorative powers of the ocean. |
| Hydrothermal massage tubs - a perfect retreat after a
day's work in the sun, office or fitness center - are featured in all rooms and
suites. In the privacy of one's bath, or in the personal treatment rooms of
Casa Del Mar's spa, life's cares simply float away |
| In Casa Del Mar's dramatic Colonnade ballroom, guests can
step out onto the beautiful loggia to admire the Pacific sunsets. The same
appointments that make this ballroom so desirable for gala events make it a
premier site for business functions as well. |
| The Spa & Health Club features treatment rooms for
massages, facials, and other therapies, saunas, and numerous workout stations
with personal headphones and television. Once the place to see and be seen, the
original Casa Del Mar set the style for fun by day and glamour by night. The
new Casa Del Mar brings back those memorable days. |
