| The 12, thatched-roof cabanas surround two central
buildings that contain the reception desk, restaurant, bar, gift shop, and
library. Meals are a mixture of Belizean -International cuisine and served in
the dining room at scheduled hours. Breakfast is a full menu served at 7:00 AM
to 9:00 AM. Lunch is served at 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM with a choice of two main
entrees. Candle-lit dinner is served from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a choice of
two main entrees. Hors-d'oeuvres are served in the bar (The Looters Trench"),
prior to dinner, at 6:30 PM. |

| The cabanas are beautifully finished inside with local
exotic hardwoods. |

| There is a delightful screened-in swimming pool which is an
ideal spot to relax and refresh after a long day hiking through the
jungle. |

| The lodge has an extensive trail system that covers more
than nine miles through various tropical forest habitats allowing you to
experience the same sights and sounds that the Maya enjoyed more than 1200
years ago. The guides at the lodge are experts at spotting and identifying
wildlife, plantlife, and birds. |

| Chan Chich Lodge can be reached by air from Belize City
(30-minute flight), a driver from the lodge will meet you at the Gallon Jug
airstrip and drive you to the lodge (a six-mile, fifteen-minute drive). Car
rentals are also available in Belize.The drive is 4-5 hours and a 4-wheel drive
is strongly recommended. |

| Chan Chich is in a tropical lowland forest where minimum
temperatures rarely drop below 50°F, and the diversity is impressive. Often
people refer to these forests using the generic term "rainforest." The driest
time to visit is February-May, although even during the rainy season, rains do
not generally last long and rarely interfere with the day's activities. |

| Each cabana is fully screened and has two queen-size beds,
ceiling fan, private bath with hot and cold water, 24-hour electricity, and a
wrap-around veranda complete with his & her hammocks. |

| The Jacuzzi located next to the swimming pool is great
therapy for any aching muscles. |
|
A delightful trip is a guided horseback ride through the
magnificent Gallon Jug Farm area where they grow and harvest coffee beans,
mangos, and cacao. Chan Chich Lodge is an ideal retreat for those that
appreciate rustic luxury in a location with some serious history. |
