Chan Chich is in a tropical lowland forest where minimum temperatures rarely drop below 50°F, and the diversity is impressive. Often people refer to these forests using the generic term "rainforest." The driest time to visit is February-May, although even during the rainy season, rains do not generally last long and rarely interfere with the day's activities.
