Hunter's Country House
Hunter's Country House is an exclusive family owned retreat, set in the heart of the magnificent Garden Route of the Western Cape, 10 kms west of South Africa's premier resort town of Plettenberg Bay. Guests are a mere eight minutes drive from the pick of the country's beaches; in a superb setting of beautifully manicured gardens, framed by the majestic Tsitsikama Mountains and surrounded by rich indigenous forests.
The suites have king or twin beds, ceiling fan, mini bar, safe, television, radio/alarm, tea and coffee making facilities, telephone, hairdryer and bathrobes.

The gracious, original homestead with its white walls and thatched roof now houses beautifully appointed candle lit dining rooms, cozy lounges, a sun drenched conservatory, and twenty-three luxurious garden suites.
With privacy and comfort paramount in their design, the Cape Colonial style Orchard Suites and thatched Garden Suites are individually decorated and antique furnished. Each has an open fireplace with private patio and all the comforts one would expect from a Relais & Chateaux property.

Overlooking the indigenous forest and situated between Plettenberg Bay and Knysna Hunter's Country House is a wonderful base from which to explore this beautiful region with it's exceptional attractions.

Rates in USD are valid for the period 1 September 2000 to 31 August 2001. Daily Double Rates include breakfast and the 14% VAT. Orchard Suites $214. Garden Suites $250. Premier Suites $286. Classic Suites $400. Forest Suite $486. A deposit of 50% of the total cost of the stay is required, with a minimum of one night (1st August – 30th April). At other times a single nights deposit is required (1st May – 31st August). Cancellation between four and thirty days will result in 25% of the total cost of the stay being withheld. In the event of cancellation within three days of arrival, there will be no refund. All major credit cards accepted. Hunter's is regrettably not suitable for children under 12.
