| Nestled two miles off the coast of Antigua, exclusive Jumby
Bay is noted for its landscape lush with rare tropical flowers, stately palm
trees and abundant foliage. Nearly a third of this private, 300-acre island is
home to the 50 suites and villas of Jumby Bay resort. |
|
|
| Each suite is an oasis of luxurious idleness embodying the
island's stylish good taste. Our favorite accommodations are the Courtyard
Suites which offer sophisticated interiors inspired by a color palette of
talcum to complement rather than compete with the beautiful island setting.
Suites have spacious sitting and bedroom areas with four-poster bed and views
of the Caribbean Sea. The bathrooms are expansive featuring an indoor shower
area as well as an outdoor shower and pedestal soaking tub in a private
courtyard. |
|
|
| Simplicity and individuality are at the heart of Jumby's
cuisine. Executive Chef Alex Chen creates signature dishes and an array of
combinations that simply must be experienced. His fusion of East and West is
inspired, fresh and elegantly understated. |
|
|
| Nature abounds on Jumby Bay Island. The unspoiled
environment blends smoothly with resort activities leaving the balance
unmarred. During your stay, you may observe a variety of bird life, including
the island's mascot, the White Egret, the playful Bananaquit and natures
marvel, the Blue Pelican. Pasture Bay Beach is one of the worlds
principal nesting sites for the endangered Hawksbill Sea Turtle (July through
November). |
|
|
| Antiguas V.C. Bird International Airport is serviced
by six airlines including American, American Eagle, British Airways, Virgin
Atlantic, BWIA, Continental, Air Canada, Condor, and LIAT. After clearing
customs, guests are greeted by Jumby Bay staff and escorted to taxis, which
takes them on a three-minute drive to the resorts private catamaran for a
10-minute cruise to the exclusive island retreat. |
