| Mountain Sky is a great vacation spot...a 4-Diamond,
AAA-rated resort, nestled high in the Rocky Mountains and only 30 miles from
the north entrance of Yellowstone Park. |
|
|
| The ranch has twenty-seven cabins that can accommodate
forty individual guests and groups up to seventy. The refurbished rustic
bedroom cabins date back to the 30's when the ranch opened its doors to its
first customers. |
|
|
| Breakfast offers a wide variety of choices at Mountain Sky.
You may choose a light breakfast consisting of freshly baked pastries and
muffins with luscious fruits, or we also offer such items as fluffy omelets,
blueberry crepes, fresh trout, and eggs benedict. After breakfast, experienced
wranglers will have your horse saddled and ready to take you on some of the
most beautiful terrain you have ever imagined. |
|
|
| Lunchtime offers a casual meal served outside buffet style.
Always included in the luncheon selection are a variety of green and pasta
salads, homemade soups, fresh berries and melons, ethnic dishes ranging from
enchiladas to Chinese stir-fry or Italian pizza, along with other Mountain Sky
specialties. And if you have a sweet tooth, the ranch makes their desserts
fresh daily. |
|
|
| After dinner you may choose to take part in some of the
activities which include...Western dance instruction, volleyball and softball
games and a variety of musical entertainment in the main lodge. A typical week
will include a folk concert, piano music in the main lodge and dancing after
dinner to the music of a local combo. |
|
|
| Your afternoon may find you soaking up the sun in the pool
area, exploring the various hiking trails, rallying in a tennis match, floating
the Yellowstone River, or if you are an avid rider, you can jump back on your
horse and take part in the afternoon ride. |
|
|
| The experienced wranglers at Mountain Sky can give you
instruction in the arena if you're a beginning rider or just want a refresher
lesson in horsemanship. And, when you're ready, they will pick just the right
horse for you from the string of 90 seasoned, well-trained horses that can fit
all levels of riding ability. |
|
|
| Younger children may be led on horseback by one of the
counselors or a children's wrangler will be eager to give your child guidance
and instructions on riding technique. |
|
|
| Mountain Sky also offers convenient access to "world class"
trout fishing. Big Creek which flows right through the ranch, will let you
experience mountain stream fishing. Nearby is the famed Yellowstone River and
several other blue ribbon spring creeks, plentiful with rainbow, brown, and
cutthroat trout. |

all-weather courts. Softball, volleyball and horseshoes are always available

ranch. |

the sunrise over Emigrant Peak, stopping for a cowboy breakfast that'll see you
through the morning. |
