Born in England, he attended the famous Colchester Institute in his native land from 1979 to 1981, where he studied under Master Chef Malcolm Long, earning the title "Best Student" and a diploma in Advanced Professional Cookery.

2007 Daily Double Rates (valid through December 31, 2007): Signature Room $330-$385. State Room $400-$455. Studio Room $470-$525. Master Suite $580-$650. Water View Master Suite $700-$770. Special packages including spa & golf packages available upon request. Jackets are requested for dinner. All rooms feature a shower and bath or a shower/bath combination; TV; telephone; climate control; use of bathrobes; mineral waters and fresh fruit daily. A one night deposit is required to confirm a reservation. The cancellation policy is 3 days prior to arrival. Add 9% tax to the above rates. All major credit cards accepted.
