Pinnacle Hotel Whistler
Located next to Town Plaza in Library Square, Whistler's first boutique hotel lies in the heart of the new village just a few minutes walk from both Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains.
The Lodge has 84 studio suites, each with queen size beds and foldout sofas in every room.
Enjoy a family meal in the fully equipped kitchen.
The Village plan maximized sunlight and the spectacular views of the mountains. The building of the Village began in 1979 and opened officially in the winter of 1980. That same year, Blackcomb Mountain opened for its first season and Whistler opened lifts on the north side of the mountain-linking two mountain bases in the new village.
Lay back and enjoy the sheer majesty of the lands while unwinding in the outdoor heated pool and hot tub.
Nicklaus North offers some of the most distinctive views in Whistler. Directly ahead of #17 is the green surrounded by glacier fed Green Lake and framed by the majestic snowcapped mountains.
Whether it is road cycling from Whistler to Pemberton, an easy ride on the many kilometers of paved Valley Trail, or a mountain bike descent on Blackcomb or Whistler Mountain, you will find something for every ability and ambition.
Whistler Village triumphs with some of the best restaurants in North America, and offers visitors many imaginative shops, specialty stores, and art galleries. And with the extensive calendar of events, there's always something going on.
Swim in sparkling sapphire lakes, sunbathe on soft, sandy beaches, windsurf, canoe, kayak, or sail, all on the same day. Scenic and whitewater rafting and jet boating excursions on nearby rivers will keep you cool all summer long. Getting There: The Pinnacle Hotel is a two hour drive from Vancouver, British Columbia.

The name Whistler has two stories of how it came about. It may have been inspired by the piercing whistling of a small mountain animal called the Marmot. It is also said that when the wind blew and came through the mountains, it sounded like it was whistling.
Additional features include: Double-Jacuzzi soaker tubs, gas fireplaces, sit-down showers, fully equipped kitchens, view balconies, VCR's and cable TV's.
On February 15, 1966, with dreams of hosting a Winter Olympics, Whistler Mountain had its official opening with 1200 vertical meters (4000 feet) of skiable terrain and 5 ski lifts operating from what is now known as Whistler Creek. By 1978, a community plan was established with a pedestrian only village, wide walkways, clock towers, and gabled roofs.
"La cucina leggera" is the theme of the menu in the Pinnacle Hotel dining room. The items are hearty and full-flavored, created with healthy ingredients, many which are low in sodium, cholesterol and fat. They have been prepared using the simplest foods and cooking methods along with uncomplicated seasonings.
Whistler has grown from its early beginnings as a summer resort, to a fabulous four season resort offering golf, tennis, mountain biking, hiking, skate boarding, water sports, summer skiing, and conference facilities, along with some of the best winter skiing and snowboarding in North America.
