The Historic Inn Rooms are the original 100 built in 1927, when the Inn was rebuilt after an fire destroyed the original structure. Quaint, cozy, warm and inviting, these Country Inn style rooms offer one queen bed or two twin beds, and are more reminiscent of a charming B&B than a large hotel. With natural wood pine furnishings, ceiling fans, colorful fabrics, and plantation shutters, the Historic Inn Rooms also feature pleasant baths with pedestal sinks and European bath fixtures.

The shutters, the ceiling fan, the sitting area with dining table, and the warm and inviting atmosphere make for a lovely place to spend a rainy afternoon or a romantic evening. There are also Deluxe Wine Country Fireplace Rooms, which are larger still, and feature the addition of a small sofa and coffee table.

Featuring a real wood-burning fireplace surrounded by marble, and a large comfortable sitting area with plush couches and chairs, the Wine Country Suites also include stunning marble and limestone baths with whirlpool tubs and separate showers. As in all of the Suites, the beds are covered with imported fabric bedspreads, the carpets are thick and warm, and the lights are dimmer-controlled for just the right atmosphere. The Story of the Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa dates back to the Native Americans who were the first to discover the natural underground hot mineral waters. This site was considered a sacred healing ground, and their "sweathouse" stood near the spring for generations.

The Deluxe Historic Inn Rooms share all the amenities of the Historic Inn Rooms, plus the advantage of being larger in size, and having king-sized beds. Some of these rooms have a small sitting room attached as well. As in the Historic Inn Rooms, these deluxe rooms are charmingly decorated with pine furniture, shuttered windows, and ceiling fans.

Large mirrors and polished granite tile and counters in the bath make it a pleasure to indulge yourself in the Inn's hospitality, and give you a great excuse to languish in the oversized tub with some of the complimentary bath and Spa products.
