| Set on ten beautifully landscaped acres in the heart of
Northern California's Wine Country (45 miles from San Francisco), Sonoma
Mission Inn & Spa is a world unto itself, offering two award-winning
restaurants, a famous European-style Spa, and luxurious accommodations. |
|
|
| The lobby is a warm and inviting space; a great place to
meet friends, and spend a little time "people watching". |
|
|
| The Historic Inn Rooms are the original 100 built in 1927,
when the Inn was rebuilt after an fire destroyed the original structure.
Quaint, cozy, warm and inviting, these Country Inn style rooms offer one queen
bed or two twin beds, and are more reminiscent of a charming B&B than a
large hotel. With natural wood pine furnishings, ceiling fans, colorful
fabrics, and plantation shutters, the Historic Inn Rooms also feature pleasant
baths with pedestal sinks and European bath fixtures. |
|
|
| The Wine Country Fireplace Rooms have all the comfort and
charm of the Wine Country Rooms, with the welcome addition of a real, wood
burning fireplace. The shutters, the ceiling fan, the sitting area with dining
table, and the warm and inviting atmosphere make for a lovely place to spend a
rainy afternoon or a romantic evening. There are also Deluxe Wine Country
Fireplace Rooms, which are larger still, and feature the addition of a small
sofa and coffee table. |
|
|
| The bathrooms are entirely tiled in polished limestone and
marble and include two-person whirlpool tubs, separate shower, large mirrors,
and spacious marble counters. |
|
|
| The Wine Country Suites are spacious and warm with a
delightful ambiance. Featuring a real wood-burning fireplace surrounded by
marble, and a large comfortable sitting area with plush couches and chairs, the
Wine Country Suites also include stunning marble and limestone baths with
whirlpool tubs and separate showers. As in all of the Suites, the beds are
covered with imported fabric bedspreads, the carpets are thick and warm, and
the lights are dimmer-controlled for just the right atmosphere. A large dining
table and chairs, writing desk, ceiling fan, and wide-blade plantation shutters
complete the room's amenities. |
|
|
| A truly authentic spa experience harnesses the healing
power of waterand the Sonoma Mission Inn enjoys an exceptional natural
setting and location directly above the centuries-old artesian mineral springs.
These waters rise from a source 1,100 feet beneath the spa, emerging from the
ground at 135 degrees F. |
|
|
| Focus on the back! Tension is massaged from the back while
resting on our comfortable massage chair. Next, lie on therapeutic moor mud
packs while being suspended in our warm flotation table. As the body aligns
itself in suspension, aches and pains vanish. |
|
|
| The Sonoma Mission Inn Golf Academy, featuring Kris Moe and
his top notch staff, can help you become the golfer you always wanted to be.
The Academy's proven system using the latest in digital video technology and
hands-on instruction will bring the theories of golf vividly to life so you may
shoot better scores. They accomplish this by improving your swing technique on
the range and your golf game on the golf course. Your golf instructor will

|
| The Story of the Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa dates back to
the Native Americans who were the first to discover the natural underground hot
mineral waters. This site was considered a sacred healing ground, and their
"sweathouse" stood near the spring for generations. |
|
|
| The Deluxe Historic Inn Rooms share all the amenities of
the Historic Inn Rooms, plus the advantage of being larger in size, and having
king-sized beds. Some of these rooms have a small sitting room attached as
well. As in the Historic Inn Rooms, these deluxe rooms are charmingly decorated
with pine furniture, shuttered windows, and ceiling fans. |
|
|
| Large mirrors and polished granite tile and counters in the
bath make it a pleasure to indulge yourself in the Inn's hospitality, and give
you a great excuse to languish in the oversized tub with some of the
complimentary bath and Spa products. |
|
|
| In 1997, Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa added 30 luxury
suites to the existing rooms. These entirely new rooms were built on acreage
added to the grounds of the Inn, and are constructed around a spacious
courtyard with meandering paths, fountains, and benches. |
|
|
| Many Suites feature balconies or decks overlooking the
courtyard. To call these comfortable rooms elegant and sophisticated is an
understatement. |
|
|
| Sonoma Mission Inn's Spa is the most comprehensive,
full-service coed adult Spa facility in Northern California. The Spa offers an
outdoor natural hot artesian mineral water pool, weight and exercise equipment
room, and daily classes in aerobics, yoga, step, stretch, and body sculpting.
The Spa Boutique and Market both offer an excellent selection of swimwear and
work-out wear, as well as a complete line of body and beauty products. |
|
|
| The Spa offers the widest variety of private services in
the United States, from 40 different types of massages, facials, wraps, and
Salon services to one-on-one fitness training, and personal consultations on
nutrition and stress management. These services and treatments are administered
by a staff of over 100 experienced, certified providers. |
|
|
| The Sonoma Mission Spa Aquathermal Facial utilizes two
superior products made with mineral water and other natural ingredients, such
as wheat protein and ginseng, to provide you with a revolutionary facial
treatment that repairs and soothes even the most depleted skin. |
|
|
| The Sonoma Mission Inn Golf & Country Club, a
championship 18-hole course, is set in the shadow of the Mayacamas Mountain
range less than one mile from the Inn. The course measures 7,087 yards, and is
consistently rated one of the top public courses in the country. Its 177 acres
are bordered by vineyards, and landscaped with mature native oaks, stands of
eucalyptus and redwood, three lakes, and a rushing creek. It is both
challenging and enjoyable to play. |
|
|
| Though subject to weather conditions, ballooning is
available year round in the Valley, and each season offers a different vista.
You will be treated to the morning ride (about one hour) while the air is still
and calm, and then a champagne breakfast awaits you back on the ground. |
