| Trident Villa and Hotel's 14 acres meander along the
northeastern coastline near Port Antonio. Nestled between the tall Blue
Mountains and a palm-fringed sapphire sea, Trident's Port Antonio is a
photographer's fantasyland of majestic waterfalls, timeless rivers, a
bottomless blue lagoon, and the unique charm of a tropical Victorian town. |
|
|
| One and two bedroom villa suites fringe the coastline of
Trident Villas. They are extremely private and offer their own view of the
Caribbean. They are exquisitely furnished with antiques and comfortable
furniture. Breakfast on your private patio is a memory you will carry with you
until you return. |
|
|
| Breakfast, served in one's room or on the dining terrace,
is a memorable splash of tropical fruits and juices and hot, West Indian
breads. Afternoon tea is a daily ritual, and candlelit dinner of continental
and Jamaican delicacies is a splendid punctuation to any Trident day |
|
|
| The pool overlooks the Caribbean and the lush mountains
surrounding Trident. |
|
|
| The Rio Grande is Jamaicas largest river, once used
for transporting bananas. It is now the scene for a relaxing three-hour ride
aboard a 30-foot bamboo raft. The rafts are built for two persons, and are
poled by licensed raftsmen. |

| Life at Trident is one of intimacy and relaxation,
cultivation and grace. It is a life of the very finest in European tradition,
tempered by the melodic lilt of Jamaica. Many celebrities have stayed at
Trident including Tom Cruise who slept here while filming "Cocktail" at
Dragon Bay. |
|
|
| Each of Trident's antique-furnished accommodations has
exquisite views of the sea from their balconies and verandahs. Large paddle
fans, reminiscent of a bygone era, provide lovely coolness on the few evenings
when the trade winds forget their seemingly endless flow. |
|
|
| Hours spent in the intimacy of Trident's private beach,
exploring the pristine beauty of Reach and Somerset Falls, visiting Noel
Coward's house Firefly, and horseback riding on the beach and trails around
Port Antonio are the stuff of dreams and memories. |
|
|
| Port Antonio is home of the annual Blue Marlin tournament
each spring and autumn, however fishing is excellent all year round. The
catches include blue marlin, sailfish, dolphin, wahoo, jack, barracuda and
bonito. Half and full-day charters are available. |
