| A 300-acre resort located 12 miles south of Ft. Lauderdale
International Airport and 18 miles north of Miami International on the
Intracoastal Waterway in Aventura, the resort has three locations: the inland
Country Club, the Marina and Yacht Club on the waterway, and the Ocean Club on
the Atlantic. |
|
|
| Rooms are decorated in soft tones of almond, moss, and
peach. Each room has two color TV's (one in bath), a video system, 3, two-line
phones, minibar, and safe, as well as French doors that open onto a
flower-lined terrace or balcony with views of the golf course or pool gardens.
|
|
|
| There are six restaurants (three at the Country Club, two
at the Yacht Club, and one at the Ocean Club), and numerous lounges to serve
guests and club members exclusively. |
|
|
| For tennis buffs there are 24 multi-surfaced tennis courts
at two, new Tennis Clubs. Former Wimbleton champion and international tennis
personality, Fred Stolle, has been Turnberry Isle's Resident Professional for
over 20 years. |
|
|
| At the Turnberry Spa, personal trainers and beauty experts
are devoted to your fitness and beauty. Let the Finnish saunas, Turkish steam
rooms, turbulent whirlpools, and bracing cold plunge tubs make your skin tingle
with a sense of renewal. To get your pulse racing, you might try your choice of
Nautilus or cardiovascular and aerobics classes. Or perhaps you'll let someone
else take over as you savor a luxurious massage. Guests who visit the spa leave
this magical realm looking and feeling revitalized. |
|
|
| For shopping, resort guests are within walking distance or
a short shuttle ride to the Aventura Mall, with 250 specialty shops and stores,
including Bloomingdale's and Macy's. Also nearby are the elegant Bal Harbour
Shops anchored by Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue. |
