This Mediterranean villa, located in the Old Palm Springs Village, combines an historic atmosphere with modern amenities.

The Acanthus Room ...Graciously appointed with a queen size iron sleigh bed and tiger-maple armoire, this room boasts a high ceiling punctuated by a 1925 alabaster acanthus leaf chandelier and a private entrance sequestered from the main house. The Maple hardwood floor in this cozy bedroom was recycled from a 1910 church in Los Angeles. The bathroom features handmade tiles and a tumbled stone floor.

The Loft... Gorgeous mountain and waterfall vistas grace this sequestered room. The two-person claw foot bathtub is surrounded by French limestone wainscoting and floors. The charm of the vaulted ceiling, Italian burled walnut antique furnishings and a fireplace is enhanced by cascading water outside the windows.

Einstein's Garden Room... Albert Einstein slept here many times. Art Deco inlaid mahogany furniture, including the king size bed, handsomely presides over two French doors that open to a private garden patio beside the waterfall. The bathroom has a claw foot slipper tub and a separate shower, with travertine stone floor, and a pewter chandelier.

 The Library...Ensconced in mahogany with a dark cherry hand-carved fireplace and coffered ceiling, this room held Clark Gable and Carole Lombard during part of their fabled honeymoon. Private entrances open under the frescoed ceiling of the verandah onto a private garden patio. King sized bed, antique pedestal sink, sophisticated bathtub and separate shower delight the sensibilities.
